About Cut Brush: Serving Fort Worth & the Cross Timbers

Land Clearing and Forestry Mulching Specialists

Our Story

Cut Brush started with a simple frustration: too much good land sitting unusable. Overgrown lots, invasive species creeping across property lines, and brush so thick an owner could not walk their own back acre, let alone build on it. Clearing it the old way meant bulldozers, burn piles, and a hauling bill on top of everything else. We built the company around a better method.

We're a family-owned company dedicated to delivering professional land clearing and forestry mulching with a focus on quality, efficiency, and leaving your property looking its best.

Our core method is forestry mulching: a tracked machine with a carbide-tooth drum grinds standing trees, brush, and unwanted vegetation into a natural mulch layer right where it falls. There's no hauling piles away, no burning, and minimal soil disturbance. The result is a cleaner, more usable property without the mess and expense that often comes with traditional land clearing.

We are straight about pricing and straight about what a property actually needs, including the times it needs less work than you expected. Whether it is a quarter-acre backyard or a ten-acre tract being prepped for construction, we treat the property like it is our own. That is why most of our work comes from repeat customers and referrals. We serve Fort Worth and the counties around it, from the Alliance corridor north through Wise County out to the ranch ground west of Weatherford and south toward Cleburne and Granbury.

What Clearing in Cross Timbers Country Asks For

Every region has its own version of this work. Here the uplands are sandy and nutrient-poor while the bottoms turn to clay, so the same tract can behave two different ways under a machine, and a mulch mat gives leached ground organic matter it is short of. Post oak and blackjack oak are what this landscape is made of, and they are usually the trees an owner wants left standing.

The honest conversation on most tracts here is about mesquite. It regrows from the bud zone on its root crown unless the crown comes out below it, so a mulching pass and a grubbing job are two different purchases. We name which one a property needs before quoting rather than letting someone discover it three years later.

We are a clearing contractor, not a permitting office or an arborist. What we do is flag the questions early, put them in writing with the quote, and point you at the office or qualified professional who makes the final call. The pricing guide shows what the work runs, and the walk-through that produces a real number is free.
